This event encourages the own ideology of a student to build up presentation skills by presenting a paper on their area of interest.

PROCESS

To participate in this event, you first register at BECTAGON-2k25 and submit your abstract of paper on which you want to present. You must send your abstract to the following Email ID.

A group can consist of a maximum of 2 members.
Team members should register individually.
Candidates should send their abstract to respective mails.
Abstract should be between 200-300 words.
Candidates should bring their college ID card at the time of presentation.
Candidates should bring two hard copies and one soft copy of the paper at the time of presentation.
Each presentation is allowed for 8 minutes followed by a 2-minute Q&A.
The decision of judges and event head shall be final.

DESCRIPTION:

TECHNICAL QUIZ is a technical event. This event is to test the knowledge and the quizzing speed of the participant. Spontaneity plays the main factor here.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

Only team entries are eligible. The students of different colleges may form a team.
A team must consist of a maximum of 3 members.
Mobiles are not allowed to be used during participation.
Final judgement will be made by judges/event coordinators based on performance.
Team members should register individually.
Candidates should bring their college ID card at the time of participation.

LEVEL 1: Elimination Round-Written Test

Each team would be given a question paper containing 30 objective-type questions.
Each question contains one mark.
No negative marking.
Allotted time for answering the questions is 20 minutes.
Only 10 teams are selected for LEVEL 2.

LEVEL 2:

Round 1:

Each team must be asked 5 questions individually.
No negative marking and pass option is allowed.
Time limit for discussion is 1 minute.
Based on their marks only 5 teams are allowed for the next round.

Round 2 (final round):

It is a mark-based questions round.
Each team must be asked 5 questions individually.
Each team will be given a chance to select questions worth 4 marks, 5 marks, or 6 marks.
QUESTION MARKS AND NEGATIVE MARKING:

Allotted time for team discussion is 2 minutes.
A tie-breaker question will be asked in case any two teams get the same marks.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Circuit marks the prior category in the entire electrical world. So, the knowledge in designing the circuit is necessary. While designing the circuit, there may be presence of errors. So, every electrical engineer must have a skill to debug the errors in the circuit and also to design a circuit. Here is a chance to prove your skill.

PROCESS:

This event will be conducted in two levels.

LEVEL 1: ENTRY LEVEL WRITTEN TEST

It is a time-based written test.

LEVEL 2:

ROUND 1: ERROR CHECKING

In this round, the selected teams have to debug the error in the given task within a specified time.

ROUND 2: CIRCUIT DESIGNING

In this round, electrical and electronic components are provided to make the circuit within the specified time. The circuit description is given.

RULES:

Team should have 2 members only.
Mobiles are not allowed to be used while participating.
Candidates should bring their college ID card at the time of participation.
The participant must have basic knowledge about electrical & electronic components and circuits.
Team members should register individually.
Final judgement will be made by judges/event coordinators based on event rules and regulations.

GUIDELINES:

Team Composition:
Each team must consist of 2-3 B.Tech students from the same or related disciplines (e.g., Electrical, Electronics). Teams must register with their members' details, and no changes to the team will be allowed after registration.
Event Structure:
The event will have three rounds: Preliminary, Intermediate, and Final. Each round will feature crossword puzzles of increasing difficulty, covering various electrical engineering topics. Teams will be judged based on the accuracy of their answers and the time taken to complete the puzzle.
Crossword Content:
The crossword will include questions on basic electrical concepts, circuit components, power systems, electronics, control systems, and advanced topics like renewable energy and digital electronics.
Rules and Restrictions:
Teams are not allowed to use external resources (internet, books, mobile phones) during the event. Discussions are allowed only within the team. Communication with other teams or any form of cheating will lead to disqualification.
Scoring and Prizes:
Correct answers will earn points, and bonus points may be awarded for early completion or solving bonus clues. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, and all participants will receive participation certificates.
