Event 1: Blind Coding
Objective
To assess participants' programming skills, logic, and accuracy without real-time execution, syntax highlighting, or error checking.
Rules
- Individual participation
- Same problem statement for all
- Monitor will be turned off or hidden
- No IDE, compiler, or real-time tools allowed
- Only keyboard and text editor allowed
- Time: 30–45 minutes
- 5-minute warning before end
- Language: Python
- No editing after submission
Evaluation Criteria
- Accuracy of solution
- Syntax & logical structure
- Completeness of code
- Efficiency (bonus points)
Disqualification
- No external help or copying
- No unauthorized tools
- Misbehavior leads to disqualification
Additional Notes
- Code may be executed by organizers
- No modification allowed after submission
Tips
- Follow proper indentation
- Plan logic before coding
- Double-check variables and functions
Winner Criteria

- Team size: 2–3 members
- One participant cannot join multiple teams
- Open to UG/PG MCA students
- Registration before deadline is mandatory
Quiz Format
- Multiple rounds (Prelims, Semifinal, Final)
- Formats: MCQs, buzzer, rapid-fire
- 30 seconds per question
Question Types
- MCQs
- True/False
- Problem-solving questions
- Topics: Programming, DBMS, Networking, Emerging Tech
Scoring
- Correct: +10
- Wrong: -5
- No answer: 0
Buzzer Round
- First team to press buzzer answers
- Wrong answer may get negative marks
Tie Breaker
- Extra question will be asked
- First correct answer wins
Rules of Conduct
- No electronic devices allowed
- No communication between teams
- Misconduct leads to disqualification
- Quiz master decision is final
