Bapatla Engineering College Celebrates National Energy Conservation Day Grandly
On the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, Bapatla Engineering College successfully organized an awareness seminar under the aegis of the Institute Innovation Council (IIC). The primary objective of the program was to instill a sense of responsibility among students and youth regarding energy conservation.
On this occasion, Dr. Ch. Subrahmanyam, Head of the Department of Chemistry, participated as the chief guest and delivered an informative lecture. In his address, he explained various conventional and renewable energy resources and emphasized that energy resources are limited. He cautioned that careless usage of energy would lead future generations to face a severe energy crisis.
Dr. Subrahmanyam stressed that it is the responsibility of every individual to use energy resources efficiently, keeping in mind the needs of future generations. He highlighted that sustainable development can be achieved by adopting energy-saving measures at the household, industrial, and educational institution levels. He also created awareness among students and faculty about practical ways to use energy efficiently in daily life.
The seminar was attended by College Principal Dr. N. Ramadevi, IIC President Dr. Nazeer Shaik, Program Coordinator Dr. C. Venkata Lakshmi, along with IIC members, faculty, and a large number of students. Several speakers addressed the gathering and emphasized that energy conservation should be considered a responsibility of every citizen.
At the conclusion of the program, the organizers stated that such awareness initiatives help nurture innovative thinking and an innovation-oriented mindset among students. They also announced that more programs related to energy conservation would be organized in the future.
