The Computer Society of India is the first and the largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a handful of computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals. Today, the CSI has 69 chapters all over India, 358 student branches, and more than 70000 members including India’s most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.
Inauguration of CSI Student Branch was held on 18th Aug 2011 at Bapatla Engineering College, Bapatla under “NewGuntur” Chapter. Function was started by welcoming all the dignitaries with the bunch of flowers.
In this inauguration, Secretary of Bapatla Educational society Sri M.Nageswara Rao,Training & Placement Officer of Bapatla Engineering College Sri V Chakradhar and CSI Student Branch Co-ordinator Sri Movva Rajesh Babu also participated.
The branch was inaugurated by Dr P.Trimurthy, Ex-President of CSI by Lighting the Lamp later all the other dignitaries joined him for the same. The session was continued by Dr K.Rajasekhar (Regional Secratary of CSI KLUniversity), Sri M.Seshagiri Rao (President of B Ed. Society) and Dr N.Sudhakar (Principal In-charge & Head, Dept of CSE).
Dr P.Trimurthy started his speech by highlighting the origins of IT and contribution of IT into the Management with the help of computers and information and technology. Dr. K.Rajasekhar highlighted the role of information technology in to computing areas and the various fields of performances.
Sri M Seshagiri Rao sprinkled his role with high lightening the origin of Membership for institution and finally Dr N Sudhakar concluded with his origin of CSI Student branch chapter and future activities under student branch chapter.
