The Silver Jubilee celebrations of the 1996–2000 batch alumni of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) were held in a grand and cordial manner on December 27, 2025, at Bapatla Engineering College (BEC). Marking 25 years since their student life, the event unfolded in a warm and nostalgic atmosphere on the college campus.

The programme was graced by the leadership of Bapatla Educational Society, with Muppalaneni Srinivasa Rao, President; Pareppalli Chandrasekhar Rao, Vice President; Manam Nageswara Rao, Secretary; and Doddappaneni Venkaiah Chowdary, Joint Secretary, as chief guests.

Addressing the gathering, Muppalaneni Srinivasa Rao stated that the success of BEC alumni in prestigious positions across India and abroad is a matter of great pride for the institution. He appreciated the alumni’s continued association with the college and their contributions toward enhancing academic standards. He also advised present students to pursue their goals with discipline, dedication, and perseverance.

In his address, Manam Nageswara Rao emphasized that alumni support significantly strengthens academic initiatives. He highlighted the crucial role of alumni in mentoring, industry collaboration, and skill-development programmes, and expressed hope for organizing many more such initiatives in the future.

The Principal of BEC, Dr. N. Ramadevi, remarked that the enduring bond between alumni and the college is commendable and that their involvement greatly contributes to the holistic development of students.

The event also saw participation from Dr. N. Karthik, Head of the EEE Department; Sai Babu, President of the BEC Alumni Association; Balaji, Secretary; along with faculty members and a large number of current students, making the programme a grand success.

During the celebrations, alumni fondly shared memories from their student days and pledged continued support through academic guidance, mentorship, and all possible assistance to current students.

The Silver Jubilee celebrations concluded on a high note with cultural programmes, interactive sessions, and commemorative photo sessions—marking the occasion as a memorable milestone in the history of the EEE Department of Bapatla Engineering College.
